This NRHA “AA” rated event, with over $150,000 in added money and prizes, will draw horses, riders, trainers and spectators from across the United States, Canada and Mexico to this lucrative event. Reining is the only western riding discipline recognized by the International Equestrian Federation. The sport of reining has grown dramatically in the United States and abroad during the past ten years with a membership growth of more than 50%! Reining is the first and only western riding discipline ever considered for Olympic competition. The “2008 High Roller Reining Classic” will be a featured episode on the award winning hit television series “Wide World of Horses” which airs weekly on RFD-TV. Taping for the episode will occur during the event as action and excitement unfolds at the South Point Equestrian Center.
